Capsule Geology

The Silver Lode occurrence is located on a north-south trending ridge approximately 2.7 kilometres north east of Thenatlodi Mountain.

The area is mainly underlain by Middle Triassic rocks of the Stuhini Group. Rocks on the property are described as andesite, basalt, tuff, breccia, volcanic sandstones and conglomerate. The country rocks are intruded by small granodiorite and quartz monzonite bodies related to the Middle Jurassic Three Sisters Plutonic Suite.

Locally, veins of black sphalerite, arsenopyrite, chalcopyrite, hematite and bornite are hosted in epidote-diopside-garnet altered calcareous sedimentary rocks that occur as talus debris at the base of a steep east-facing cirque. Meter-sized boulders of intrusion breccia are also present at the base of the cirque. Along the cirque wall, the sedimentary rocks are well bedded with apparent dip directions of 200 to 240 degrees and shallow apparent dips of approximately 24 degrees. Gossanous, sulphidized sections along the cirque wall are estimated to be 30 to 50 metres thick.

At least five other zones of copper mineralization have been identified in outcrop and float in the Silver Lode occurrence area. These include: (1) chalcopyrite-bearing, quartz-carbonate boulders at the Cru occurrence to the west- north west; (2) syenite-hosted quartz-specular hematite-chalcopyrite veinlets at the Luz occurrence to the south west; (3) chalcopyrite-bearing tourmaline veins in the Thenatlodi Mountain area further to the south west; (4) narrow chalcopyrite veins within quartz-sericite-pyrite altered quartz monzonite at the Coola occurrence to the south east; and (5) disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite in strongly silicified country rock in the East Ridge area to the east- north east.

In 2012, select rock samples (975233) of mineralized skarn material from the Silver Lode occurrence yielded up to 1.01 gram per tonne gold, 70.2 grams per tonne silver and 13.03 per cent copper, while samples from the Cru, Luz and Thenatlodi Mountain areas yielded 2.03, 1.50 and 1.28 per cent copper respectively (Bowen, B.K. Work History

In 2011, Finsbury Exploration Ltd carried out exploration over the Property as part of a soil and silt sampling program over a much larger 168,983 hectare property area known as the Galaxie property.

In 2012, Quartz Mountain Resources Ltd, on the Galaxie property, conducted systematic soil and IP surveys over eight high-priority grids and two target areas identified by the 2011 stream sediment and soil geochemical results. This work included an IP survey over almost the entirety of title 512878 and the southeastern third of title 604847.
